Hi peeps.
Perhaps you know this about me, but sometimes I like to say I’m going to do things, and then I don’t. So when I was like, “LET’S CONTINUE 2013 BY WRITING ALL THE TIME!” and then I didn’t, I felt like an ass. I won’t be foolish enough to be all, “2014 WRITING FOR THE WIN!”
… because, deep in our hearts, we know that just isn’t true.
I chose a word to live by this year, that word being “fear”. I have enough fears to compete with a small child, or Woody Allen, or Woody Allen as a small child (is your mind blown yet?). My fears allow me to stop progressing, to make excuses, to generally think of what might be, but to never really work toward anything. It’s a hard knock life (somewhere in the middle of Annie and Jay-Z) for someone to be so caught up in the things that don’t matter.
Not that I know, exactly, what “doesn’t matter”; my inner self is a 16-year-old who thinks that EVERYTHING MATTERS. ALL OF THE TIME.
So here’s to facing fears. As the picture below illustrates, those bitches are ugly.
